Oracus Digital Agency, a Nigerian-based digital corporation, stormed the South East with its first-ever tech exhibition show. The ‘Oracus Tech Exhibition and Challenge (OTECH)’ took place on November 27th, 2021 at the Princess Alexandria Auditorium (PAA), University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu State.
A large number of dignitaries attended the event, which was designed to encourage and promote the inventions and innovations of young innovators and technology specialists. Significant discussions about block chain technology, cryptocurrency, and concerns afflicting Nigeria’s technological sector were brought to the forefront and thoroughly debated. Keynote speakers such as nairacheck.com’s Austin Mitchel Chiadika, serial digital entrepreneur Nzeako Anthony Kosisochukwu, and Volt Enterprises Ltd’s Managing Director Assi-Blankson Joel all graced the occasion with their wealth of expertise.
Inventors who took part in the hardware and software exhibition/challenge were awarded cash prizes. Okwuzu Jude Chiagozie won the N500,000 grand prize in the software category for his Facial Authentication Software idea, which was designed to be used in place of biometrics to make registration and identification processes easier. Onyishi Dennis Ejika won the N500,000 cash prize in the hardware category for his numerical control invention; the machine, also known as the Computer Numerical Control (CNC), is the automated control of machining tools using a computer to perform operations such as drilling, cutting, milling, and 3D design.
“What we are establishing with OTECH is a platform that will in time put Nigeria as a nation in the tech debate on a global scale,” Ezeanyim Henry O., the event’s convener and CEO of Oracus Digital Agency, expressed his appreciation to God and his joy over the event’s overall success. We praise God for the fair’s first-year success and look forward to expanding it to other sections of the South East and the country as a whole.”
