Obi Emelonye, the filmmaker of ‘Badamasi,’ has revealed that his upcoming feature film ‘Blackmail’ has received its first prize.
The cyber security-themed film was also selected for this year’s Urban British Film Festival, according to the creator.
The action drama, which was shot in the United Kingdom in 2020, follows Chinda (Ukeje), a well-known London actor who becomes embroiled in a sextortion lawsuit brought against him by Igor, a criminal tycoon and digital scammer.
As he searches for the offenders, Chinda’s family is put in danger by mistaken identity, webcam hacking, and threats of violence.
Emelonye is now on tour for another movie called ‘The Oratory,’ thus no release date for ‘Blackmail’ has been set. According to reports, the new film will be released in over 16 countries.
