Netflix has officially unveiled a teaser video, first-look photographs, and a launch date for the planned prequel series ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.’
The highly anticipated show follows Charlotte’s climb to power and her epic love affair with King George, which overcomes all obstacles.
“This Bridgerton-verse prequel tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton,” the synopsis reads.

India Amarteifio will portray Queen Charlotte, with Golda Rosheuvel reprising her role as the strong adult queen and Corey Mylchreest from ‘The Sandman’ as Young King George.
Adjoa Andoh (Lady Agatha Danbury), Ruth Gemmell (Lady Violet Bridgerton), Michelle Fairley, Arsema Thomas, Sam Clemmett, Freddie Dennis, Richard Cunningham, Tunji Kasim, Rob Maloney, Cyril Nri, and Hugh Sachs also appear in the cast.
‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story’ will appear on Netflix on May 4, 2023.
