2. Bridgerton
Bridgerton is based on Julia Quinn’s best-selling novel series and is set in the seductive, opulent, and competitive world of Regency London high society. From the gilded ballrooms of Mayfair to the aristocratic houses of Park Lane and beyond, the series reveals a tempting, luxurious world full of complicated rules and dramatic power conflicts, where no one is ever truly on solid footing. The powerful Bridgerton family is at the heart of the show. James and Sophie Whitehouse live in a wonderful and unusual world. James’ destiny looks to be limitless, with a Minister in Parliament and a lovely family at home. Until a startling secret is unexpectedly revealed. Barrister Kate Woodcroft is on her own path, and her prosecution threatens to destabilise Westminster, the Whitehouse marriage, and her own self-esteem.
