Iyanya, a master of afrobeats, has discussed his difficult 2021, including having to beg for shows.

Iyanya, a musician, claimed that December 2021 was particularly difficult for him since he had to beg to play at gigs just so he could be noticed.
The renowned Afrobeats musician revealed this via his Twitter account. In the message, he said that things had improved in 2022 since he now gets up alert to perform every day at various performances.
“Last year December 2021, I performed at 3 shows, one paid and I begged to perform at 2 just to be seen. 2022 December, I wake up and everyday to alerts for shows, haven’t had this kind of busy december since 2017. 20+ shows in on month. God Thank you” the Tweet reads.

As a result of the enormous popularity of his hit singles “Kukere,” “Your Waist,” and “Mr. Oreo,” Iyanya is one of the most well-known names in Afrobeats.
Iyanya released the well-received song “Like” in 2022 with Davido and Kizz Daniel. Additionally, he issued an EP called “The 6th Wave” that was well acclaimed.
Fans will be thrilled to see one of Afrobeats’ best musicians standing again and putting out the amazing music that made him a fan favorite.
