Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal In Anambra Moves To Ilorin

The Anambra governorship election petitions tribunal has moved its sessions from Awka to Ilorin in Kwara state.

News Agency of Nigeria

Mr Surajo Gusau, the tribunal’s Secretary, said this in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Awka on Tuesday.

The migration took place on December 17, according to Gusau, who added that the tribunal had already set up shop in Ilorin.

He did not provide the grounds for the relocation, just stating that it was due to an administrative mandate.

Apart from the complaint submitted by the Accord Party, which was withdrawn on December 9, Gusau said the tribunal was reviewing 12 cases.

The tribunal was established to hear cases related to the governorship election in Anambra, which was won by Prof. Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
