Flutterwave has appointed Oluwabankole Falade as its Chief Regulatory and Government Relations Officer. He will foresee the flutterwave vision by providing a strategic oversight and government relation strategies, while also ensuring that the needs and goals of the tech company are aligned with that of the regulators.
Falade has 18 years of experience in law, regulatory affairs, government relations, and business development across financial and telecoms industries. Before he joined Flutterwave, he was the Director, Regulatory Affairs, and Government Relations at IHS Towers.
He also held key leadership roles at VISA and MTN, where he managed interactions with key government stakeholders and regulators in key markets across Africa. Flutterwave expresses an enthusiasm In appointing a regulatory lead with broad industry experience.
Flutterwave’s CEO, Olugbenga Agboola, has high hopes for Falade’s impact on the company. “He is well placed to strengthen our existing relationships as well as support us create new relationships,” he said. We will go a long way as there will be need for deeper engagement with African governments. Like other private organisations, tech companies have to answer to the constituted authorities wherever they operate.
