Keyamo says that the Supreme Court has already resolved the issue.

On Tuesday, September 6, 2022, Festus Keyamo (SAN), the minister of state for labor and employment, allegedly “never sued” Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential contender for the 2023 election, for suspected certificate fraud.
According to him, “I sued the Lagos State House of Assembly”.
Daniel Bwala, the Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organization’s spokeswoman, displayed “receipts” to demonstrate that Keyamo, who also serves as the APC campaign council’s spokeswoman, had previously filed a lawsuit against the former governor of Lagos State for an alleged certificate fraud.
Keyamo disputed the assertion in a statement to the media.
“I never sued Tinubu. No. I sued the House of Assembly seeking an interpretation of the law,” the minister said.
He continued by saying that the Supreme Court had already resolved the issue.
“Once the Supreme Court pronounces on an issue, it becomes binding on even the lawyer who loses and he is bound to obey and defend the judgment of the court. So assuming (which is not conceded) that I made any kind of accusation in the matter, once the Supreme Court ruled, that was the end of the matter and from that moment, it behoves me to stop pushing a matter already laid to rest by the highest court of the land and defend the decision.
“So, once the issue was laid to rest, we move on.
“Anyone who thinks I would still harbor any kind of resentment more than 20 years later should examine his/her head,” Keyamo said.
When he accompanied Tinubu and Shettima to a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in his office in Abuja in August, APC national chairman Abdullahi Adamu revealed Keyamo at a briefing.
