Walt Disney Animation Studios’ latest animated film would be available on Disney+.

Encanto, a musical adventure, was released over Thanksgiving week and was a box office blockbuster, grossing $151.8 million for Disney. Encanto, on the other hand, will be accessible to stream just 30 days following its theatrical release due to the studio’s reduced theatrical window.
In time for Christmas, all Disney+ subscribers will be able to enjoy Encanto. Last month, the date was confirmed as part of the complete Disney+ December program. However, Encanto material was not included in the video showcasing Disney+’s major December additions released at the beginning of the month, causing fans to worry that the film will appear later than expected.
Aside from the Disney+ debut, Disney also announced Encanto’s home release date. The film will be available for digital purchase on VOD platforms the same day it is released on Netflix. Encanto will be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on February 8th, a little over a month later. Encanto, unlike several other Disney films released this year, will be available on Disney+ when it debuts.
Encanto is the narrative of Mirabel, a young Colombian woman who is a member of the mystical Madrigal family. When Mirabel was a child, everyone in her family was given a particular ‘gift,’ but she never got one, causing her to question her place in the Madrigal tradition. Jared Bush and Byron Howard direct the film, with Charise Castro Smith acting as a co-director. The script was written by Bush and Castro Smith. Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator of Hamilton, contributed to the screenplay for Encanto and composed new music for the film.
