According to Bloomberg, which cites “people familiar with the subject,” Elon Musk informed Twitter employees on Wednesday that he does not intend to fire 75% of the company’s employees after taking control.

From what Musk allegedly indicated last week, this is a retreat. When he addressed staff on Wednesday at Twitter’s San Francisco office, the famous executive refuted the previously reported figure.

Before the meeting, The “Chief Twit,” as his Twitter profile now refers to him, uploaded a video of himself entering Twitter’s offices while carrying a sink and writing the caption “Let that sink in!”

With the $44 billion acquisition of Twitter by Musk, which is anticipated to finalize on Friday, Musk has casually mentioned the possibility of firing employees. However, Twitter would likely become unusable if it lost 75% of its workforce, or around 5,600 workers, overnight.

According to the story, Twitter employees are still concerned about the anticipated personnel reductions associated with the purchase.
