Due to the recent family tragedy, the upcoming Are We Africans Yet (A.W.A.Y) Atlanta festival has been postponed until November 2023.

The 20,000-seat State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, planned to host the “A.W.A.Y.” event on November 18, 2022.
The multi-award-winning megastar was scheduled to open the concert, including Mayorkun, Stonebwoy, BNXN, Kizz Daniel, Pheelz, Lojay, and other celebrities.
However, due to the recent tragic passing of his son Ifeanyi Adeleke, the festival has been postponed by a year and will now take place on November 18, 2023.
This information was revealed by the management in a statement released yesterday to announce the delay.
“We have made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone A.W.A.Y Festival until Saturday, November 18, 2023.
To all ticket buyers, your tickets will be honored for the 2023 date. We understand that you must be disappointed but we promise to come back with a bigger and better show.
Thank you for understanding and we look forward to seeing you all in the near future.”
Readers may remember that Ifeanyi, Davido’s 3-year-old son, drowned in the pool at the family’s Banana Island home, and Davido lost him. The loss was caused by drowning, according to the authorities, and his death is being looked into.
