After spending the night in their captivity, the Nigerian army has freed legendary actor Chinwetalu Agu.
On Thursday, September 7, 2021, the military detained the legendary actor after he was manhandled by a soldier in Upper Iweka, Onitsha, Anambra State, for wearing Biafra insignia.
Following the intervention of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, the actor has finally recovered his freedom.
Chiwetalu Agu informed everyone that he is OK and has settled with the army in a video released following his release.
Agu is seen in a viral video with an AGN representative who was sent to the Nigerian Army headquarters in Enugu.
Agu expressed his thanks for the association’s assistance, saying: ’Keep on supporting Nollywood, it’s the only home we have to sustain both our public and private life.”
