‘Love, Damini’ was awarded silver certification in the UK on February 10th, 2023, according to a tweet from the UK certification organization, the Brits Awards.
The Nigerian megastar, which is leading the charge in introducing African and Nigerian music to the rest of the globe, has made another enormous step.
The international mega single “Last Last,” which peaked at No. 4 on the UK Official Singles list, was featured on Burna Boy’s sixth album, “Love, Damini,” which was published in July 2022. It also produced the songs “Cloak & Dagger,” which includes British rapper J Hus, and “For Your Hand,” which features British megastar, Ed Sheeran.
These singles, along with others like “Common Person,” “Different Sizes,” and “Vanilla,” are what earned Burna Boy a silver certification. Burna Boy received two Grammy nominations for best international music and best global song performance despite the fact that reviews of “Love, Damini” were divided. Burna Boy is aiming to maintain his position as one of Africa’s top music exports by pursuing a gold plaque after receiving a Brit silver plaque.
