The University Staff School in Benin city has rebuilt several of its classrooms and staff areas thanks to Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma.
On September 12, 2022, at the school’s grounds, the newly rebuilt classroom block and staff quarters were officially opened.
Philip Shaibu, the deputy governor of Edo State, ordered the project.
Later, the deputy governor congratulated the comic for his admirable work on his Instagram page.
“This morning, I commissioned a 430-capacity 20-classroom and 2 staff rooms project renovated by an Alumnus of the University of Benin Staff Primary School, Bovi Ugboma. The donor is also an international stand-up comedian,” he wrote.
“Despite my tight schedule coupled with the short notice, I made it important to be there to encourage him and other like minds. I laud his courage and the initiative for being responsible to give back to his Alma mater.”
I Go Die, I Go Save and many more dignitaries joined the comedian’s friends and colleagues in attendance.
The comedian who attended the institution and is an alumnus paid a visit there approximately a year ago.
A 20-classroom block with a capacity of 430 students as well as two staff rooms are part of Bovi’s generosity to the school.
Nigerian stand-up comedian, actor, and writer Bovi is from.
He has planned well-known stand-up comedy shows like Bovi: Man on Fire all over the world.
They have three gorgeous children and he is married to Kris Asimonye Ugboma.
