A sequel to the 2021 film ‘Bad Comments’ has been announced by Jim Iyke’s 6th Sense film production business.

Preproduction on the sequel, named ‘The Crusader,’ is already underway, according to the company, with principal photography set for July 2022 in collaboration with the film and tourist bureaus of Dubai, Dar es Salam, and Lagos.

The sequel’s announcement coincides with claims that the original film was just licensed by Amazon Prime, a streaming service.

Jim Iyke, who also serves as the film’s director and executive producer, recently held a viewing party in Lagos to commemorate the streaming contract.

The film, directed by Moses Inwang and produced by Darlington Abuda, tells the story of Frank Orji (Jim Iyke), a prosperous businessman who embarks on a revenge-seeking adventure after being harassed online. Chiwetalu Agu, Osas Ighodaro, Patience Ozokwo, Sharon Ooja, and Benjamin Touitou appear as supporting characters with Iyke.

The movie has had a number of intriguing triumphs since its theatrical premiere in August 2021. It was just chosen for the Harlem International Film Festival’s 17th edition, which will take place in New York.
