Atiku Abubakar the former vice president of Nigeria has launched a socio-political organization, Atiku Care Foundation, in Anambra State.
The national chairman of the foundation, Ambassador Aliyu Bin, while inaugurating the executive officers of the state’s chapter in Awka, disclosed that the foundation has earmarked $5.5million worth of goods to be distributed to the indigent and orphanages, saying that the former V.P has the people at heart in the times of this recession.
He also reveled that the foundation will soon inaugurate its executives in Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia and Imo before going to other parts of the country before concluding in Abuja with the formal launch of the foundation in December.
There are many allegations claiming that this is his 2019 presidential campaign platform in South East Nigeria. The foundation is said to be, in many quarters, his strategy to drum up support from the south eastern part of the country.
